Precious metals are almost never sold at 100% purity, and that’s completely normal — even the “pure” stuff is a standardized grade. The easiest way to understand silver is to borrow from gold for a second.
Take a 100-gram bar of 14-karat gold. “14 karat” doesn’t mean it’s all gold — it means it’s 58.5% pure gold. So that 100 g bar actually contains 58.5 g of real gold, which is about 1.88 troy ounces of gold content. “14 karat” is just the recognized name for that purity level.

What the number on the label means
The size you choose — 3 oz, 6 oz, 32 oz — is the weight of your statue, poured in solid .999 fine silver. No conversion math, no fine print: a 12 oz piece is 12 ounces of .999 fine silver on your scale. Because we refine our own recycled stock before pouring, purity is verified at 99.9% — it will never test below it. And when it does test higher, you never pay more: our pricing is set at the .999 fine level — one honest basis, so there is nothing to reconcile and nothing that is simply a bonus of doing business with us.

We used to offer two grades: a lower grade, and fine silver at .999 for anyone who asked. Two grades meant two prices, two promises, and a decision the buyer had to make before they could pick a statue. So we stopped making people choose.
Every piece we pour is now .999 fine silver — the same grade as a government-minted bullion coin. Not a minimum that might test higher. Not a grade that depends on which option you selected. One number, on every statue, in every size.
