Skull & Crossbones Signet

.925 Sterling SilverMade in the USACertificate of Authenticity

A broad mirror-polished oval signet with the oldest warning there is sunk into the middle of it: a skull over two crossed bones, standing out of a blackened panel in smooth high relief. Cast to your size — the Silver Regime Collection.

Each ring is cast to your size after you order, so it cannot be changed later. Not sure? Choose the last option and we will post you a sizer before we cast.

Metal & Purity Guarantee — .925 Sterling Silver

Every ring is cast in the United States in solid .925 sterling silver — 92.5% silver with a little copper, stamped 925 on the inside of the band. This is the one thing we make that is not .999 fine silver, and the reason is the copper: it is what makes the metal hard enough to hold its shape on a finger. Fine silver is softer, and a ring cast in it would slowly go out of round.

We guarantee each ring is delivered solid sterling throughout — never plated, never hollowed, and never a base metal underneath. Every ring ships with a Certificate of Authenticity stating its metal and its weight.

Craftsmanship & Variance

Each ring is cast, then finished by hand in two tones: bright polish across the raised surfaces, dark antique worked down into the recesses. Because a person does that, no two are quite identical — the polish sits fractionally differently on every one. Small variation in the finish is a sign of hand work, not a defect.

Sterling darkens a little with wear. That is the copper doing its job, it is normal, and it is reversible: a soft cloth across the polished surfaces brings them back. The darkened recesses are intentional and are not meant to be polished out.

Product photographs are rendered references and are not guaranteed to depict the exact final physical item delivered.

Shipping & Delivery Information

Every piece is hand cast and made to order — we hold no stock, so nothing ships off a shelf. Orders are poured in the order they are received, and production is currently running 4–8 weeks before your piece is finished and dispatched.

Once your order has been finalized and shipped you will receive an email with your tracking number and delivery date. You also get an email at each stage of production, so you always know where your piece stands. All orders ship via FedEx, fully insured.

Called about a dozen places before I called here and they all offered me only 80-90% for my 24K gold jewelry. This place quoted me 95% over the phone and were happy to honor that offer in person. Super helpful and straightforward with quick payment. Can't recommend enough.

I filled out the contact form and Nick messaged me right back within the hour I only had a handful of silver dimes and some sterling silver jewelry just a few hundred dollars of stuff I found laying around and I went the next day and the person working wasn’t Nick but he told the guy I might be coming and they paid me top dollar I called 4-5 other places and because I only had a small amount they either didn’t respond or offered me half the amount . I would recommend everyone to go here they treat you very well even if it’s only a small profit for them. If I had a bunch of stuff this is the place to go

They dont give cash for gold, and its pretty sad they have to lie to get people in the door, but Im personally fine with a check. What I DO mind are the sanitary conditions of any place with which I do business. I dont like seeing people pick their nose and eat their boogers. I dont like the stench of busted plumbing like someone took a nuclear number 2. And I dont like seeing dirty socks sitting by the computer. The guy is trying to talk to me about gold and my eyes keep darting to the socks and Im wondering 'how does a person get blood on socks?'

Great experience at this place! I worked with Nick — he was very open, friendly, and professional. He took his time to explain everything and tested the items right in front of me with no pressure at all. The prices they paid were really good — better than a few other places I checked before. You can tell they are honest and value their customers. If you’re looking to sell gold or silver quickly, transparently, and for a fair payout — I highly recommend them. I will definitely be back!

The piece

Skull & Crossbones Signet

Almost all of this ring is one uninterrupted polished surface, and that is the difficult part — a big plain face shows every flaw in the casting, so it has to come out of the mould clean and be worked by hand until it reads like water. The emblem is not engraved into it. It is sunk in a shallow oval panel, the ground darkened, and the skull and bones raised above that in smooth rounded relief so they catch light while the panel behind them stays black. Solid metal through, with broad shoulders tapering to a plain rounded back.

Cast solid in .925 sterling and finished by hand — the raised surfaces polished back, the recesses left dark. That contrast is what gives a small object its depth.

Skull & Crossbones Signet

What it stands for

The oldest warning. Still the clearest.

The skull over crossed bones is one of the few symbols that never needed explaining to anyone. It was cut into gravestones in Europe long before any pirate flew it, and it meant then what it means now: this ends. Sailors borrowed it precisely because everyone already understood it on sight. Worn on the hand it is not a threat. It is the plainest possible statement of the obvious.

Getting the size right

Cast to your finger

  • 📏US 6 to 13Half sizes throughout
  • ✉Free ring sizerPosted out if you are unsure, before we cast
  • ⚖Cast solid.925 sterling, never plated or hollowed

Choose carefully — this one cannot be resized. The band is sculpted and antiqued along its whole length, so cutting and stretching it would destroy the finish. If there is any doubt, pick the sizer option and wait a few days.

The metal

Why this one is sterling

Everything else we make is .999 fine silver — statues and pendants both. This is not, and that is deliberate. .925 sterling is 92.5% silver with a little copper in it, and that copper is what makes the metal hard enough to live on a hand.

A ring takes knocks a pendant never does. Fine silver would slowly go out of round. Sterling holds its shape, which is why rings have been made from it for centuries — and why the inside of the band is stamped 925.

Before you order

Questions people ask

Why sterling and not .999 like the statues?

Because it has to survive a hand. .925 sterling is 92.5% silver with a little copper, and that copper is the point — it makes the metal hard enough to keep its shape on a finger. Fine silver is softer and a ring in it would slowly go oval. Our statues are .999 because they sit on a shelf; a ring does not.

How do I find my size?

If you already know it, choose it from the list. If you do not, pick “Not sure” and we will post you a free plastic sizer before anything is cast. It is worth waiting for — each ring is cast to the size you give us.

Can it be resized later?

No. The band is heavy, sculpted and antiqued along its whole length, so cutting and stretching it would destroy the finish. That is why we would rather send a sizer and wait than guess.

Will it tarnish?

Sterling darkens slowly with time and skin. On this ring that is not a fault — the recesses are already darkened by hand and the piece is meant to deepen. A soft cloth on the raised surfaces brings the highlights back whenever you want them.

How heavy is it?

Heavy. It is cast solid, not hollowed or plated, and you will notice it the first time you pick it up. That weight is most of what separates a cast silver ring from a stamped one.

What if I change my mind?

Rings are cast to your finger, which makes them a custom piece — so they sit outside the 30-day return we offer on pendants. Choose the sizer option if there is any doubt; we would far rather post one out than have you stuck with the wrong size.
